Even though I’m not a diabetic, there is a new kind of glucose monitor that I would have loved if I needed it because of my fear for needles. When you’re diagnosed with diabetes you have to check your blood sugar levels often. You have to make blood samples yourself with a small lancet, something I never could do myself… But now there is a small device that is very helpful. You stick it on your skin like a plaster, and by using new technology it will measure your blood sugar levels without the mess and the pain.
Google and DexCom have worked on this new glucose monitor, that makes control your blood sugar levels a lot easier. This device can be connected with your smartphone or the results can be sent directly to the dietitian and can be easily viewed.
This can be an easy way to get your diabetes under control more especially for those who have very inconsistent blood sugar levels or for parents with young children suffering from diabetes.
