Oceanscrapers

This global warming isn’t going to change if we keep running our planet. So people have started planning what to doe when we can’t live in our cities anymore.

What is it?

A new form of a sustainable city, the Aequorea oceanscrapers. Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut created a concept for the cities of the future. The cities who will disappear in the ocean. We will live in cities that float around te oceans. The self-sufficient, underwater eco-villages will give around 20.000 people a place for living. By there design you will not get seasick, because you do not fluctuate in the water.

The oceanscarapers will be made of plastic out of te sea. And after production they will recycle things by there self as water.

Why is it cool?

It’s cool that there are people who think of our future. In the last weeks we already started to feel the power of water by al these heavy storms in the Netherlands. In fifty or sixty years we could have lost the fight whit water. And we have to be smart before we lose the fight. It also is cool I think by the fact you will travel the world underwater. I think that would be amazing!

Future growth potential

This clearly is a concept for the future. I think that in the next years we will create and develop more and more concepts like these. And when needed we have the best to live in. It’s a fact that we will have a problem with sea level one day. So we better get the fight started!
